No News... and Pumkpins

The interview went well, I think. It was more casual than I expected, just talking to mainly two of the team members... but they could not tell me a time-frame for when I'd hear back. It's driving me a little crazy, not knowing one way or the other. I hadn't had a job interview in around 7 years! It would be a big life change, moving to an at-home position. But the more i think about it, the more I want this.

Anyway, I had an electrocardiograph after the cardiology appointment. Everything is as expected; normal. They're still ordering a heart monitor to be worn for a month... I should get that within a few weeks, I guess. The doctor told me they don't expect to see anything from that, either. It's all just precautionary. If I hadn't already met the insurance deductible this year, I'd seriously consider saying no to all these tests. But I may as well have them done, just in case... right?

Yesterday, we went to the pumpkin patch about an hour north of us with my parents and brother. It went find, I guess. The girls loved it, but it's definitely more of an event for the children and the mothers. Our youngest was cranky for a good portion of it. Afterwards, we went to Golden Corral, where my girls weren't very cooperative and made a big mess. And the food has gone way downhill from where it was two years ago. I doubt any of us will go back there. So it goes.

My brother also started streaming on Twitch most nights. So I've been trying to watch and interact with him on it some. He usually started around the time the girls go down for bed and when I'm not really doing much, so it works out okay. He'll get my Amazon Prime subs each month because I don't watch Twitch anymore. Just his stream now, I guess.

We're still working on getting the house and shop organized. I had the shop a little better and then we were given a riding mower since the one I have has a bad deck. The newer mower cost less than a deck would have... So I'll likely just park the older one under a tarp. Maybe I'll put quick connects for it's battery and keep the battery in the shop.. It'll be a good lawn-tractor for moving things, though. I have a little trailer for it. It'll also be good to mow again instead of relying on my father to.
