No Job Change, but We're Raiding the ARC

Well, they didn't hire me for that job. As mentioned, that's what I expected, but it still bummed me out more than I thought it would have. But such is life. I did go ahead and apply for another fully at-hme position within my company that would be tech support for patient monitoring. That wouldn't be as flexible as the job I was wanting, but it would still be interesting. I'm kind of still in the same boat about my chances of getting it, I think. I don't have any official training on monitors, but otherwise check the boxes. Not going to get my hopes up this time. Well, probaby not. I'm not great at not.

I sold some things from CS:GO on Steam and had enough money to purchase ARC Raiders from it, so I did. I've never really tried the extraction shooter type of game, but this one is clicking well for me. I like how it's supposed to be more casual with the resets and how it's a maximum of 30 minutes per round. It also runs perfectly on the Steam Deck. I'm not usually a huge fan of 3rd person shooters, but I'm really liking this one. I've gotten a little over 9 hours already in it somehow and plan to play it more when I can (which as you know, is not a lot). If you see me in solos, say hi! I don't shoot people... unless I have a mnission to do... in whch case, sorry.

The girls are doing good. Our youngest is teething or something, so nights have been a bit rough and she's been more cranky than normal. She's also hitting the toddler-age and realizing she can say 'no' to things, which is bittersweet. Automony is cool, but it was nice when she'd just listen and do what was asked! Oh how I love this family.

We just had family pictures done on Tuesday, but haven't received the results yet. I'm sure they'll be great. My wife was going crazy with happiness when the photographer showed her some on the camera during the shoot.

My wife is super excited for Wicked: For Good to come out and was upset she didn't get to order the green Target limited edition Stanley Cup related to it. It sold out instantly online. I went the next day and picked one up from our local Target without her knowledge to surprise her with it the day we'd go watch the movie. I thought it would go so well, but then a couple of days ago, I get home and she's being a little weird. Turns out, she was able to order one online after all and put it where I'd find it. This, of course, was dissapointing. I took out the one I bought her and told her she 'ruined it' in jest. We'll laugh over this later, for sure. Not sure what she'll do with the second one, though. It's either return it or gift it. Oh well.

That's my little snippet of life at the moment. Busy times ahead with the holidays for sure.
