Side Hustles and Cutbacks
As mentioned in the previous post, finances are terrible. And unfortunately my wife's health situation hasn't really improved, so we still need to hire help. Her conditon also makes it where she wouldn't be able to go work anywhere. She's applied to over 100 jobs she could do from home, but no luck so far.
Because of this, I'm needing to find a side hustle. I'm trying and hoping to get into transcribing or data annotation (like AI grading), but am currently in the process of taking the tests to get into a couple of those sites. The first transcribing one I tried has legal transciption positions open only, and that test is very strict and I failed it. Have to wait two weeks to take it again.
It would be best if I got something I can do from home as well due to the health issues my wife has. But I also have signed up to be a DoorDash dasher. Maybe I'll be able to go do that occasionally while looking for something else.
Other than financial stress, things are going okay. Girls are healthy and mostly happy, other things are working out, etc.
I don't know how frequently I'll update this page, honestly. Usually during my lunch breaks at work, I'd read, do this, or practice programming, but the aforementioned stressor is taking over lunch with searches and surveys. I'll try to update at least once a month, though. If not for anyone but my future self.
If anyone is out there reading this... firstly, why? Secondly, say hi! And thank you.
